Veruska Cantelli is an ABD in Comparative Literature at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She was born in Rome and moved to New York where she received her B.A. with Honors in Italian Literature and Theatre at Hunter College, CUNY.

Area of concentration

She is interested in Women Studies, Italian and American 20th-Century Poetry, French and Italian Enlightenment.

Couses taught

She has been teaching Comparative Literature at Queens College and Italian at Hunter College. Her courses focus on modes of power and authority in Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance writings, autobiographical elements of early literature and women writings.
Lately she was the executive producer of the documentary La Ciudad De Los Niños, a social documentary on an orphanage in Cochabamba, Bolivia. She is also a modern dancer, she has been working with the Human Kinetics Company and lately she has been collaborating with the Company Shua Group.
