General Information
Eligibility for employee health insurance, participation in pension plans, and other benefits varies depending upon your title and appointment status. Click on your appropriate employment classification below to determine which specific benefits that are available to you.

Detailed information regarding pensions and other benefits including effective dates of coverage is available from the Office of Human Resources. Appointees should schedule an individual meeting at (212) 817-7700 as soon as an appointment is accepted at The Graduate Center. Employees employed by the CUNY Research Foundation should review benefits on their website at http://www.rfcuny.org/RFWebsite.
Many employees have several benefits options from which to select. Materials should be read carefully and questions discussed before enrollment since health insurance choices may only be changed once a year, the fall transfer period, except for certain qualifying events. Pension system selections may not be changed unless a member of the Civil Service staff accepts a position in the Instructional Staff or vice versa.
