Description

The Ph.D./DMA Program in Music at The Graduate Center, The City University of New York, invites nominations/applications for an experienced scholar in Ethnomusicology or Musicology.

Responsibilities:

Conduct doctoral seminars and direct dissertations in one or more of the following:

• vernacular music of the Americas;

    • new critical studies, with emphases on issues of gender, race and class;

    • any of the more conventionally established areas of inquiry.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have an earned doctorate and be experienced scholars possessing qualifications appropriate to appointment as a Professor or Associate Professor.

Salary Range:

-Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
