Description

The Ph.D. Program in Economics at the City University of New York Graduate Center seeks to hire a faculty member in any field of economics at the Associate Professor or Professor level. The program (http://web.gc.cuny.edu/Economics/) has an applied orientation. One distinguishing characteristic is its close association with the National Bureau of Economic Research Health Economics Program, which is centered in New York City and is located in offices adjacent to the Ph.D. Program in Economics. The successful candidate will teach courses in economics at the Ph.D. level, supervise Ph.D. dissertations, and conduct research in economics.

Qualifications:

A Ph.D. degree in economics is required for an appointment to all professorate ranks. Candidates must demonstrate a strong research record and a commitment to supervising Ph.D. dissertations.

Salary Range:

  • -Rank and Salary commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments
  • -Tenure Track; Appointment Beginning Fall 2008
  • -FLSA Status - Exempt (not eligible for overtime compensation
