CUNY’s School of Professional Studies (SPS) offers an array of credit and non-credit certificate programs and courses that are designed to meet the needs of working professionals and employers as well as individuals seeking opportunities for personal growth. Housed within CUNY’s Graduate School and University Center, SPS draws on faculty from CUNY’s 19 campuses and the vast pool of experts, in a range of fields, from around New York. Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Online Programs, the Media and Instructional Design Assistant will:
- Assist faculty who are or will be teaching onlinewith the development of media for online courses, webcasts, or other delivery formats.
- Assist with the recording and production of video lectures and podcasts.
- Work in the Faculty Training and Development:
- Assisting and training faculty in Blackboard and other Learning Management Systems
- Maintaining lab software and computers
- Troubleshooting any problems faculty may be having with Blackboard other systems
- Prepare training and technical support materials for faculty
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in the video/audio, multi-media, and technology is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and at least two of the following is required: I-Movie, Final Cut, Flash, andBlackboard is required.
- Excellent writing skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills, andattention to detail are essential.
- Must demonstrate sufficient skills to perform the duties of the job to which they are assigned and be able to exercise a high degree of discretion and professionalism.
Salary Range:
$15.00/hr - $19.13/hr Depending on Experience
