AB Yehoshua is Professor of Comparative and Hebrew Literature at Haifa University and served in Paris as the General Secretary of the World Union of Jewish Students. He is the author of several novels. Elisheva Carlebach is Professor of History at Queens College and the Graduate Center, CUNY and a specialist in the Jews of Early-Modern Europe.
