Applications
are available from the Office of Admissions at The Graduate School
and University Center. In addition to transcripts and letters of
recommendation, candidates are expected to provide a written statement
of purpose and scores on the (Quantitative, Analytic, and Verbal)
Graduate Record Examinations.
The Graduate School and University Center was established in 1961 and is a consortium of programs within The City University of New York. The faculty of 1,700 scholars from throughout the CUNY system and New York City's leading cultural and scientific institutions teach nearly 4,000 students in The Graduate Center's 31 doctoral programs and seven master's programs. The National Research Council's most recent assessment placed more than a third of the school's rated programs among the nation's top 20. Opportunities to conduct research in areas of compelling social, civic, cultural, and scientific concerns are augmented by the school's 23 research centers and institutes.

Tuition Information
Tuition
is $3,200 per semester for full-time incoming students who are
New York State residents; tuition is $500 per credit for full-time
incoming students from out-of-state. For part-time students, tuition
is $270 per credit for New York State residents and $500 per credit for out-of-state
residents. Tuition and fees are subject to change by action of the
Board of Trustees of The City University of New York.
