Join us for an evening discovering the vast landscape of The New York Times’s online theatre section. Erik Piepenburg, senior producer for theatre, will present excerpts from the Times’s online theatre coverage, including the site’s signature audio slide shows, photo essays and other interactive features. Piepenburg will give an inside view into how the pages are created and how The New York Times integrates journalism, digital storytelling, blogging and coverage of the world of theatre in New York and beyond. Followed by a discussion with New York artists, bloggers, and producers Garrett Eisler, The Playgoer (http://playgoer.blogspot.com/); Helen Shaw, Time Out (http://www3.timeoutny.com/newyork/upstaged/); and Isaac Butler, Parabasis (http://parabasis.typepad.com/).
