The fourth annual PRELUDE festival and symposium celebrating the very best of new and unconventional theatre being created by NYC-based theatre artists and companies.Curated by Sarah Benson and Frank Hentschker.

Some of New York's most distinctive contemporary theatre artists and companies are set to participate in PRELUDE ’06: At the Forefront of Contemporary NYC Theatre. The fourth annual PRELUDE festival and symposium features performances, readings, studio presentations and open rehearsals with a focus on works-in-progress for the 2006-07 season and beyond. PRELUDE ’06 gives audiences the rare chance to see the upcoming work of New York's most exciting theatre in one place and to experience the developmental process of the city's best contemporary theatre artists and companies. All performances and presentations will be followed by informal talk-backs with the artists.
