Welcome to PRELUDE 09: Ecologies, Economies, and Engagement! Now in it's sixth year, PRELUDE 09 examines the evolving relationship of Art and Culture through the lens of contemporary theatre and performance. From Wednesday, September 30 through Saturday, October 3, dozens of performances, conversations, and symposia will take place at The Martin E. Segal Theatre. The completely free festival gives audiences an sneak peek at some of the most exciting performances and discussions of the 2009/10 season and beyond. Join us as we celebrate NYC’s most dynamic artists and visionaries, and investigate how performance is affected by the culture at large.
