Jackson Pollock Bar

Joseph Beuys in NYC

Wednesday, October 12
9:00pm-10:00pm | James Gallery

PRELUDE.11 has commissioned Jackson Pollock Bar to re-perform Joseph Beuys’ first public dialogue in New York City, which took place at Cooper Union in 1974. The German artist’s commitment to environmentalism and interdisciplinary, which occasions hostility from the student audience, are timely to revisit given the intensity of present-day debates about activism and politics in visual art.
