The Graduate Center

The Graduate Program in Philosophy provides students with training in the history of ancient and modern philosophy and in all of the main areas of philosophical inquiry. The program encourages interdisciplinary interests and maintains close relationships and shared colloquia and/or faculty with a number of other graduate programs including Comparative Literature, Computer Science, Linguistics, and Mathematics.

Announcements

The Graduate Center proudly announces the appointment of Jesse Prinz as a Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, beginning in January 2009.

The Philosophy Program welcomes Jeffrey Blustein (Philosophy, City College), Robert Fiengo (Linguistics, CUNY Graduate Center), and Samir Chopra (Comptuer Science/Philosophy, Brooklyn College) to the faculty beginning this September.

The Graduate Center's Saul Kripke Center will host its Gala Opening Conference from May 21 through May 23, featuring roundtable discussions with Saul Kripke and many other renowned philosophers.

The Graduate Center proudly announces the appointment of Graham Priest as a Distinguished Professor of Philosophy. Professor Priest will join the faculty in September 2009.
