The following is additional information applying to philosophy applicants.

In addition to meeting the general University requirements for admission, a student's undergraduate preparation should ordinarily include at least 18 credits for approved courses in philosophy for admission to the Ph.D. Program, at least 15 for admission to the M.A., and at least 9 for admission to M.A. Specialization in Ethics and Society. The Committee on Admissions may modify these requirements in special cases (e.g. a strong major in a related field).
