Applications for admission to the clinical psychology doctoral program for Fall 2009 are due by December 3rd 2008. All materials must be in by this date.
Inquiries and Application Procedure
Admission to the Subprogram is granted only to applicants whom we feel show the potential to make outstanding contributions to clinical practice and/or research. The large number of applications (approximately 350) in proportion to the small number of places (12 to 15) available each year regrettably means that many highly qualified individuals cannot be accepted. Each application is evaluated on its individual merits, and evidence of noteworthy clinical or research talent is weighed heavily in addition to grades and test scores.
The subprogram has a strong and active commitment to diversity. We seek to enroll qualified students from ethnic and gender minority backgrounds. For more than thirty years, minority enrollment in the subprogram has ranged between 20 to 30 percent. All applications are assessed with attention to individual backgrounds and cultural experiences.
