The 2007 lecture "Inclusive Diplomacy and the Search for Middle East Peace" was delivered by Alvaro de Soto on November 13th in the Baisley Powell Elebash Recital Hall. De Soto, a Peruvian diplomat, left the United Nations in May 2007 after a 25-year career working closely with Secretaries-General Pérez de Cúellar, Boutros-Ghali, and Annan. His last assignment was the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (2005-2007).
