Description:
The CUNY doctoral science student orientation will showcase CUNY research and feature faculty, senior graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Each of the four science disciplines will have research presentations by faculty and graduate students who intend to add new doctoral students to their labs at the end of the next academic year.
Purpose:
1. Discover the many areas of research at CUNY, and identify options for lab rotations and dissertation research projects
2. Become familiar with the 1st year program and the process of selecting laboratory rotations and interim mentoring committee members
3. Meet other entering students and faculty, administration and staff
