A panel discussion on diversity and racial inequality moderated by William Kelly, President of the Graduate Center, with Walter Benn Michaels, author of the forthcoming The Trouble with Diversity: How We Learned to Love Identity and Ignore Inequality; David Harvey, Ph.D. Program in Anthropology, CUNY Graduate Center, author of, most recently, A Brief History of Neoliberalism; Leith Mullings, Ph.D. Program in Anthropology, CUNY Graduate Center, and author of, among many other books, On Our Own Terms: Race, Class and Gender in the Lives of African American Women, and Gary Younge, columnist for The Nation and The Guardian, and author of No Place Like Home: A Black Briton’s Journey Through the Deep South.
