Crisis and Rebellion in Argentina: A Look at a Neo-Liberal Economy

Professor Peter Ranis
The Graduate Center and York College, City University of New York

Professor Ranis has written extensively on Argentina. He is the author of Class, Democracy and Labor in Contemporary Argentina (Transaction, 1995) and Argentine Workers: Peronism and Contemporary Class Consciousness (Pittsburgh, 1992). He has a chapter on "The Impact of State and Capital Policies on Labor in Post-Industrial Argentina" in Jose Havét (ed.) Markets, States and Identities (Toronto, 1999).
