US Policy Toward Latin America

The New Politics of Latin America Faculty Development Workshop Series 2003-2004

Jorge Dominguez
Harvard University

The Future of Inter-American Relations
Recent sweeping political and social changes in Latin America, such as the election of Lula da Silva in Brazil and the end of PRI hegemony in Mexico, challenge conventional understandings and assumptions about the region and merit immediate scholarly attention. This series provides faculty with an in-depth analysis of these transformations.

Professor Dominguez is the director of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and the Clarence Dillon Professor for International Affairs at Harvard University. He is the author of several works on US-Latin America Relations, Cuba: Order and Revolution and To Make A World Safe for Revolution: Cuba’s Foreign Policy, both published by Harvard University Press.
