About the Speaker:

Stephen Selka received his PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University at Albany in 2003.  He is current an Assistant professor of African American and African Diaspora Studies and American Studies at Indiana University.  He is the author of Religion and the Politics of Ethnic Identity in Bahia, Brazil (University Press of Florida, 2007).
