Research interest: unravelling the mechanism of tau-induced neurodegeneration in Alzheimer disease and related tauopathies. We are also working in generating models of neurodegeneration. While studying the pathological functtion of tau and its involvement in neurodegeneration we are also interested in its role in normal neurogenesis and synaptogenesis. With that purpose we are interested in studying development in tau-transgenic zebrafish.
