The Ph.D. program in marketing is a four-year, full-time program
that trains students to be successful marketing scholars and educators.
The program takes a rigorous, flexible, multidisciplinary approach
to help students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for
productive careers at research-oriented academic institutions. The
program encourages students to cultivate their own research interests
and expertise through a combination of relevant
courses, collaborative work with involved
faculty, and independent research in the form of a dissertation.
The program also emphasizes the link between the creation of knowledge
and its dissemination through effective pedagogy by allowing students
to gain valuable teaching experience in the classroom.
The program admits students with excellent academic backgrounds,
competitive GMAT scores and strong verbal and written communication
skills. Applicants must have an undergraduate degree prior to entering
