Maddy Fox is a Ph.D. student in Social-Personality Psychology at the Graduate Center. She is currently the coordinator for the Polling for Health, Education and Justice Project, a participatory action research project to assess youth experiences of education, health (including sexual and reproductive), criminal justice and policing in the schools, on the streets and on mass transit in the five boroughs of New York City.
Launched in January 2008, the goal of this project is to carry out youth-generated research that informs demands for policy reform, especially in the areas of education, health and juvenile justice policy. Polling for Justice is being conducted as a collaboration between the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University, the Urban Youth Collaborative, the Graduate Center at CUNY, Hunter College, and various youth-led and advocacy organizations in New York City.
See "Polling for Justice" on Projects page for more details.
