Madeline Perez

As a doctoral student in the CUNY Graduate Center's Urban Education Program, Madeline Perez worked on a participatory action research project involving parents in the Bronx. The project resulted in a publication, Family-to-Family: The Guide to the Schools of Hope, which aims to support and orient families whose children are eligible to attend the 85 new small high schools in the Bronx.

In 2005-2006, Madeline also provided research training to youth from Pablo Neruda High School -a new small high school - as they developed a redesign proposal for Soundview Park in the Bronx.
