  “Histories of Activism” Seminar in the City, co-sponsored by the Center for Lesbian & Gay Studies (CLAGS) and the Audre Lorde Project

All sessions will be held at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center, 208 W. 13th St. NYC, from 6pm-8pm, Tuesdays, February 10 (Room 310) and 17 (Room 203), and March 2 (Room 310), 9 (Room 410) and 16 (Room 310).

“Histories of Activism” speakers and moderators are now, or have been affiliated with organizations including: the Audre Lorde Project, Caribbean Pride, the Center for Lesbian & Gay Studies, Asian & Pacific Islanders against HIV & AIDS, Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice, Gay Asian & Pacific Islander Men of New York GAPIMNY, Gay Men’s Health Crisis, the International Action Center, the International Gay & Lesbian Human Rights Coalition, Las Buenas Amigas, Latino Gay Men of New York, LLEGÓ – the National Latina/o Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Organization, the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force, the New York State Black Gay Network, Project REACH, South Asian Lesbian & Gay Association, and many universities, scholarly efforts, and formal and informal organizing networks.
