I. (~2 pp.) Choose one or two chapters of the Melian Dialogue, and write a guide to this example of Thucydidean Greek for a fellow student who has not yet experienced Thucydides.

II. Translate the following into Attic Greek. Try to strike a Thucydidean note. Feel free to re-arrange and embellish the English; you needn't be strictly literal.

It's a law of nature:
The stronger compel what they want.
The weaker do what they must.
We deem such behavior appropriate both in humans and in gods.
Those who understand reality share our view.
You would do well to adopt it.
