Warren Benton is Professor and Chair of the Department of Public Management at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and serves as Director of the MPA Inspector General Program. Before joining the faculty at John Jay College, Benton served as Director of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and as the Director of Planning for the National Clearinghouse for Criminal Justice Planning and Architecture. He has extensive experience as a consultant to correctional agencies and to executive, legislative and judicial officials. He currently serves as the Monitor in United States v. Puerto Rico, a case involving youth corrections facilities and services in Puerto Rico. Benton is also the author of books on computing, such as Execucomp: Maximum Management with the New Computers which has received numerous awards and citations. |
