Bio:

Lila Kazemian is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She completed her doctoral studies at the Institute of Criminology of the University of Cambridge in 2005. Before she joined the faculty at John Jay in the fall of 2006, she was granted a one-year post-doctoral fellowship funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC, UK). Her research interests include life-course and criminal career research, desistance from crime, offender reentry, and comparative criminology.
