The CUNY Baccalaureate Program for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies

Meet Our Alumni

Since 1971, the Program has opened doors for over 6,000 graduates. Many alumni—63% according to a recent study—hold jobs in New York City, like Jane Jaffe, Senior Attorney of the New York City Administration for Children's Services. Others have taken their talents abroad, like Mohamad Bazzi ('97), New York Newsday's Middle East Bureau Chief. According to the same study, over 80% of alumni hold jobs related to their areas of concentration.

Our alumni beat the national average of students going on to graduate school by nearly 10%. Over half are accepted to every graduate program they apply to, with funding. In recent years, our graduates have been accepted to schools like Central European University, Georgetown Law, Harvard Divinity School, Rutgers, Teacher's College/Columbia, and Yale.

Nearly all of our alumni (98%) say they would recommend the Program to others.
