Dr. Romy Golan has previously taught at Vassar College and Yale University. She has curated exhibitions and written catalogue essays for museums in the U.S., France, and Canada. She received the Samuel and Ronnie Heyman Prize for outstanding scholarly publication by Junior Faculty Members of the Humanities at Yale for her book Modernity and Nostalgia: Art and Politics in France between the Wars (Yale Univ. Press, 1995) and the Henry Allen Moe Prize for Catalogues of Distinction in the Arts for co-authorship of The Circle of Montparnasse: Jewish Artists in Paris 1905-1945 at the Jewish Museum, New York, 1985.
