Professor Jane Roos has taught courses in Methodology, Gustave
Courbet, Édouard Manet, Impressionism, and Sculpture in the
19th and 20th Centuries. She has also taught at Columbia University
and The New School. She has been the recipient of a Getty
Postdoctoral Fellowship (1987-88), research grants from the American
Council of Learned Societies (1987) and the Samuel H. Kress Foundation
(1977 and 1979), numerous research and travel awards from City University,
and exhibition grants from The Florence Gould Foundation (1998 and
1999). She has lectured widely, and appeared recently on “Canapé”
(CUNY-TV, Channel 72).
