H.E. Luiz Felipe de Seixas Corrêa
Ambassador Luiz Felipe de Seixas Corrêa has been Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Relations since January 1999 and served as Acting Foreign Minister in early 2001. A career diplomat, he has previously served as Brazil's Ambassador to Argentina (1997-98), Spain (1993-97), and Mexico (1989-1992). He has also served as Special Advisor on International Affairs to the President of the Republic 1989/1992, Minister-Counselor in the Brazilian Delegation to UNESCO, 1985-87, and in other positions. Ambassador Seixas Corrêa has a Law degree from Cândido Mendes University (Rio de Janeiro) and also studied at the Brazilian Diplomatic Academy (Instituto Rio Branco). Ambassador Seixas Corrêa is a member of the Brazilian Institute of History and Geography. He has taught courses on International Relations and on Brazilian Diplomatic History in the Brazilian Diplomatic Academy (Instituto Rio Branco). A frequent lecturer on Brazilian History and on matters pertaining to Brazilian Foreign Policy, he is the the author and editor of several books on these subjects and has published a number of articles on specialized publications.
