Sadiqua Azad
Sadiqua Azad, a second-year Ph.D. student in Earth and Environmental Science at the Graduate School of the City University of New York, completed her B.S degree in geology from Devi Ahiliya University, India, in 1997 and earned her M.S. degree in Marine geotechniques from the University of Wales, U.K. in 1999. Her master's thesis involved the study of consolidation properties of marine clays. She has work experiences in oil exploration companies in India and Libya. Her current research is focused on production methods of gas hydrates. Her interests include marine seismic, stratigraphy, especially prediction methods of sea level changes, and teaching hands-on geology. She is a fellow at H.S. Truman High School.
