Heather Glickman

Heather Glickman is a second -year doctoral student in the Department of Environmental Science, at the Graduate School of the City University of New York. She earned a B.A. degree in Biology and Environmental Studies at Binghamton University in 1996. She has taught life science at a middle school in Glendale, Queens, worked as an environmental educator for the Department of Environmental Conservation in New York City and taught labs for introductory environmental science at Queens College. Her recent research work has involved testing trees in New York City for uptake of air pollutants, and vegetative mapping in Cunningham Park, Queens. Her research interests include environmental education, phytoremediation, environmental economics, and land-use change and ecology in the Brazilian Amazon. Her fellowship position is at Herbert Lehman High School.
