Samil Ogun
Samil Emre Ogun is a doctoral candidate of Physics, at the Graduate School of the City University of New York. He earned a B.A. in Physics (Teachers College, A.E.F.) from Marmara University (Istanbul) and a Msc in Physics from Middle East Tech. University (O.T.D.U., Ankara). His Master of Science project was on Bi-based High Temperature Superconductors. He is currently working on semiconductor and metal quantum dot formation on Silicon wafers with a new method as a part of a NSF project in the Physics department of Brooklyn College (C.U.N.Y). He was awarded with a Thomas K. Brian memorial award which is related to his qualifying exam score and dissertation studies. His teaching experience includes teaching Physics-1, 2, 11 and Lab. courses for several years at Brooklyn College, his previous colleges and Kingsborough Community college (recently). His hobbies and interests include surfing, travelling and cooking different cuisines' food. He is a fellow at DeWitt Clinton High School.
