Mary Rocco

Mary Rocco is a second-year graduate student in the doctoral program in Neuropsychology, at the Graduate School of the City University of New York. Conducting her doctoral research in the electrophysiology lab of Professor Joshua Brumberg at Queens College. She received her B.S. in biology and psychology from Loyola College in Maryland (2000). At Loyola, she spent several months doing research in a molecular neurobiology lab at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. In her senior year, she participated in an honor's research program in entomology and later presented her findings at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research (2000). After graduation, she spent a year as a Behavior Specialist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute where she helped develop behavioral programs for autistic children. In the year before graduate school, she worked as a research assistant in the Parkinson's Disease Research Center, of the Department of Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has co-authored three scientific publications in both biological and psychological journals. Her areas of interest include neurophysiology, psychopharmacology and clinical neuropsychology. Her fellowship position is at Christohper Columbus High School.
