AP Fellows GK-12 Program Planned Activities and Estimated Time Commitment
The CUNY GK-12 Fellows will work with 20 AP Teachers of mathematics and science in regular non-specialized high schools in the Bronx School District. Both the CUNY GK-12 Fellows and Teachers will receive intensive summer and academic-year training and support from CUNY personnel, staff from the Bronx High School District, and The College Board. The CUNY GK-12 Fellows will work closely with their cooperating teachers to plan their day-to-day activities based on both teacher and student needs. During the academic year, fellows are required to spend 10 hours per week on in-class instructional activities at their assigned high school and an additional 5 hours per week on out-of-class preparation activities. The following table illustrates the project's training activities and the estimated time commitment for each activity.
