Directions:  Create two response questions to demonstrate students’ understanding of the learning goals and character objectives of the service-learning project. The first of these questions should relate to an aspect of the academic content of the service project.  The second question should relate to an aspect of the character content of the project. The questions may ask for a response from students in any form: drawing, oral presentation, role playing, etc.  However, since they will be asked to students in a comparison class who have not participated in the service project, the ability to respond to the questions should not be dependent on participation in the service project.   Student responses will be graded on an individual basis.   Student responses will be graded from 1-4 points using a rubric. After reviewing the rubric, please write or describe an example of a student response that would be graded as a 3.
