Oral Papers
The auditorium holds approximately 80 people. Projection facilities (including sound) for Powerpoint, .pdf slides, etc.
will be available for all speakers.
You should expect to test your slides in the break prior to your talk. The conference organizers cannot
provide photocopy services;
however, there are copy shops in the immediate vicinity of the CUNY Graduate Center (e.g., Kinko's
at 191 Madison Avenue, between 34th and 35th Streets)
Posters
Large poster boards will be made available to all poster presenters. Their
approximate dimensions are as follows: 4 feet wide x 6 feet high (1.25 meters wide x 2 meters high).
Your poster may be positioned either vertically or horizontally on the easel, as you choose; only one
side of the board can be used for displaying the poster. (We will provide pushpins to attach your
poster to the board.) The poster boards will accommodate posters measuring up to 34" x 44" (A0 size)
in either portrait or landscape formats (the former format is recommended).
Your poster should include the title and name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s), and a short
abstract. We recommend that you use a font for the title large enough to be read from a distance of 12
feet (~4 meters); the rest of the poster should be readable from a distance of 6 feet (~2 meters).
The poster boards will be made available from 12noon on the day of the poster session. Poster
presenters are encouraged to set up their posters well in advance of the poster session.
We recommend that you bring a handout describing your work that can be handed out to interested
parties. Speakers at the conference are asked to bring at least 50 copies of their handout.
Presenters of posters that are listed on the conference program as alternate papers are encouraged
to bring this amount as well. Again, we are not able to provide photocopy services;
however, there are copy shops in the immediate vicinity of the CUNY Graduate Center (e.g., Kinko's
at 191 Madison Avenue, between 34th and 35th Streets).
