Corey Miller earned his Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998, focusing on phonetics and phonology. He has worked on both text-to-speech and speech recognition at several companies including Motorola, Nuance, and Tellme. He has been working at ScanSoft's New York office since 2004. In his current position, Corey serves as a speech scientist, helping a variety of banks, insurance, and telephone companies develop and improve their automated telephone-based customer service systems.
