In addition to being a proficient user of chalk and dry-erase markers, today's academic must be familiar with other slightly more sophisticated tools belonging to the category of "instructional technology". Just what makes a technology suitable for use in teaching/learning contexts? Why should one even bother teaching with technology? And does it make a difference?
