Abstract for NA's talk

Topic... Comment! (Everything you always wanted to know about syntax (*but were afraid to ask))
NA (NA)
March 4, 2008 (Tuesday)
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM; Room 7102, The CUNY Graduate Center

Have you been holding on to an annoying question since Syntax I? Is there something that you just don't get? Does some piece of the theory completely confuse you? You're not alone, but don't take our word for it. Join us for the next Topic... Comment! supper on Tuesday, March 4, which we're calling "Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Syntax (*But Were Afraid to Ask.)"

Previous Topic...Comment! suppers have focused on particular topics or articles, with discussion among students and faculty. For our upcoming supper, we'd like to try something a bit different with two goals. First, we'd like all students, at all levels, to be comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas. We'd also like to give CUNY students a chance to decide how they can best be served by the format.

Students are asked to please email any questions/topics for discussion to Erin Quirk (enoraq@yahoo.com) or Chris Warnasch (cwarnasch@nyc.rr.com) by Monday, March 3 to facilitate the discussion. Just a line or two is fine.

So, please join in and help shape our Topic... Comment!
ALL INVITED!
