I am an architect who has worked with institutionalized people with participatory design processes. My interests include how people make meaning in places, ethics of social science research, the history of housing design in New York (especially public housing in the 1930s), and feminist and queer theory applied to environmental change issues. Currently I teach an experientially-based architectural theory seminar and an ongoing workshop on using video as a research instrument.
