Michelle Culang (Neuropsychology) : along with her mentor Assistant Professor Joel Sneed had their recent research presentation highlighted on DocGuide (URL below). ALUMNI

 

Dr. Barney Beins (Alumnus, Experimental Psychology 1979): was awarded the 2010 American Psychological Foundation Charles L. Brewer Distinguished Teaching of Psychology Award. Dr. Beins is currently a professor at Ithaca College. His research interests focus on issues in teaching psychology, history of psychology, psychology of humor and undergraduate research. [CV]

Dr. Danielle L. Beatty (Alumna, Social-Personality Psychology 2007) has published her first article in July 2009. The title of her Publication is "Unfair Treatment and Trait Anger in Relation to Nighttime Ambulatory Blood Pressure in African-American and White Adolescents [Article]

Dr. Suzanne M. Clerkin (Alumna, Neuropsychology 2009): "Guanfacine Potentiates the Activation of Prefrontal Cortext Evoked by Warning Signals" was published in and highlighted on the cover of the September 2009 issue of Biological Psychiatry". Dr. Clerkin completed her work in Dr. Jeffrey Halperin's Laboratory at Queens College. The article relates to her dissertation, which examined the role played by noradrenergic receptors in the prefrontal cortext during human attentional processing.

Dr. Vianna Eduardo (Alumna, Developmental Psychology 2007): was awarded the 2010 Early Career Award by the Awards Committee of the Cultural Historical SIG of the American Educational Research Association (AERA). This is a very prestigious and competitive award acknowledging outstanding
scholarship that makes a significant contribution (theoretical and methodological) to the cultural
historical research. Eduardo was invited to give a talk about his research at the annual AERA meeting
next year.
