Clare Carroll is Associate Professor of Comparative Literature at the CUNY
Grauate School and at Queens College.
She is the author of Orlando
Furioso, A Stoic Comedy (Medieval & Renaissance Texts & Studies, 1997).
With Vincent Carey, she edited Solon his Folly, A Politique Discourse
(Renaissance English Texts Society, 1996). She has published articles on
Ariosto, Spenser, Renaissance Humanism, gender studies, and Irish
literature.
She is currently editing the Early Modern section of the Longman
Anthology of British Literature (forthcoming from Addison, Wesley, Longman,
1998).
