Electronic Databases and JournalsThe Mina Rees Library

Graduate Center Subscription Databases:

60+ bibliographic and full-text databases are available at all networked computers at the Graduate Center. These databases provide access to images, electronic indexes and abstracts, other reference materials and the full text of several thousand journal and newspaper titles. The list of databases on the library's web site indicates the type of database (e.g., full text, citations, etc.), access status (Grad Center only, CUNY-wide, remote), and provides links to database descriptions.

Status of Database Access:

  • Approximately 39% of the databases are available only at the Graduate Center.
  • Approximately 43% of the databases are available at networked computers at all CUNY institutions and at home or other non-campus locations. You will need to have an active library barcode from either the Graduate Center library or from another CUNY library to access these titles from home.
  • Approximately 13% of the databases are available at all CUNY institutions, but not from home.
  • Approximately 5 % of the databases are available at a small subset (8 – 10) of CUNY libraries, including the Mina Rees Library.
