QUNY description
QUNY is the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer student group at the Graduate School of the City University of New York. Our mission is to provide an interdisciplinary social, academic, and activist network among CUNY graduate students. In recent years we have planned and hosted presentations of current scholarship in lesbian and gay studies, a film series, and a multi-day international student conference. In 2004, QUNY and CLAGS were pleased to award the first interdisciplinary concentrations in Gay and Lesbian/Queer Studies at the Graduate Center. Members of QUNY also elect two student representatives to serve on the CLAGS (Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies) Board of Directors. The current student representatives are Jen Gieseking from Environmental Psychology and Brian Davis from Social Psychology.
