Library and Archive

The Library and Archive of the CSFRI is beginning to take shape, even if slowly. Eventually, we hope to have a core of reference materials, specialized monographs, articles, music, and recordings, with the intent of making the collection available to those who would visit us, or—when copyright does not stand in the way—through xerox duplication for those who are not right around the corner.

Since much of the material that we would like to have in the collection is out of print and difficult—if not impossible—to obtain through normal channels, we would welcome donations (whether originals or copies). These will be gratefully acknowledged both on the website (see "Friends ") and in our Free-Reed Journal.

The catalogue is organized as follows (with sections I, II, and III further organized alphabetically by instrument):

I. MUSIC

II. RECORDINGS

Primary documents, secondary materials
(books and articles), miscellaneous

Recordings and printed items, donated to CSFRI by Count Roberto Guido Deiro, pertaining to his father, Guido Deiro, and uncle, Pietro Deiro, pioneering American piano-accordionists.
