“Chaucer as Metafictionist”.
The presentation addresses the most important aspect of Chaucer's
relationship to the work of his French contempories, most especially
Guillaume de Machaut and Jean Froissart, and his very creative
adaptation of the way in which these poets had created a a tradition
of poetry that is about the writing of poetry.
