Dr. Bono has taught at William Patterson College (New Jersey). Currently, she is on the staff of Northern Highlands Regional High School (Allendale, NJ), World Languages Department.

I have studied extensively the worlds in the Americas with which the Spaniards collided in 1492; I have also studied Nahuatl. Publications include a modern Spanish transcription of Francisco Cervantes de Salazar's Dialogue on the Dignity of Man, articles on Columbus, Mexico in 1554, and early manifestations of Gabriel Garcia Marquez' magic realism in his Textos costeños; lectures have included Spanish humanism in early colonial New Spain, the Shape of the World in the Age of Discovery, and Mexican Art through the centuries. I am a member of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP) and Foreign Language Educators of New Jersey (FLENJ).
